Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting
June 24, 2013 – 6:00 PM
15 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook CT

Members Present: Maureen Birden, Don Ramsey, David Moseman, Ashley Mele, Tom Murtha, Steve Meeker, Karen White, Rosalie Newman, Leonard Penna (Newtown PD), Rick Child, Susan Giglio, Kathy McCleary, Sheilah Krasnickas, Mel Kawakami, Dan Patti, Mackenzie Paige and Jesse Rosenschein.
                        
Members Not Present: Diane Savinelli, Jim Solomon, Leslie Polseno, and

Staff Members Present: Candice Bohr, Jill Pluta

1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:01 PM by Tom Murtha.
        a) Roll Call- The roll of the Board of Directors was taken by signing in and a quorum was established.
b) Approval of May Minutes - Motion made by Steve Meeker to approve minutes as written.  The motion was seconded by Dave Moseman and passed unanimously.
c) Approval of the Budget – Motion made by Rick Child to pass the budget. The motion was seconded by Sheilah Krasnickas.


2. Chairman’s Report
a)  The new executive board will be as follows, Chairman: Steve Meeker; Vice Chairman: Rick Child; Secretary: Ashley Mele; Treasurer: Dave Moseman; Past President, Tom Murtha.
        Motion made by Kathy McCleary and seconded by Don Ramsey. The motion passed unanimously
b) A motion was made to welcome two new board members to the board. The motion was made by Dave Moseman and seconded by Jesse Rosenschein to accept Dan Patti and Mel Kawakami as new board members.

        a)No report given.

        a) No report

        None.

8.  New Business
        a) We are Newtown, we choose love wants to fund co pay
        b) Before the road race we will have a board meeting.
9.  Adjournment
A motion was made by Ashley Mele, to adjourn the meeting at 7:10.  The motion passed unanimously.

The next meeting will be held at the Newtown Youth and Family Services, 15 Berkshire Road, on August 26, 2013.
